Anthony Chau, MD, RPVI

Dr. Anthony ChauDr. Anthony H. Chau is a Southern California native who grew up in Orange County. He attended UCLA for college and earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics. While in college Dr. Chau co-founded and served as the president of the Pre-Medical Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (Pre-Med APAMSA) chapter at UCLA. He also helped create and served as the director of A.P.A Heath C.A.R.E.

Dr. Chau matriculated at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, one of best medical schools in the country. He was the co-director of the Minority Health Conference in Los Angeles; a collaboration between UCLA and USC’s medical schools. After receiving this medical degree, Dr. Chau completed a residency in General Surgery at San Joaquin General Hospital, a high-volume county hospital that served largely low income and disadvantaged patients. He is board certified in General Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Chau completed an advanced fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic Hospital. Dr. Chau specializes in minimally invasive procedures to treat a wide range of arterial and venous disorders. Dr. Chau has published articles in major surgery journals and a book chapter. He has presented at numerous local, regional and national conferences on both general and vascular surgery. He will soon be board certified in Vascular Surgery by the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Chau currently serves on the VAM Video Committee for the Society of Vascular Surgery (SVS). He has previously served on the SVS Student and Resident Outreach Committee.
